HOMEWORK ASSIGNMENTSMost homework assignments will be posted on Google Classroom with specific due dates. Each assignment description will explain what and how to turn in the assignment. Late assignments usually result in either half or no credit (depends on the assignment).
RUN DAYSYou will have a variety of runs though out the year that range from individual to partner to team runs. Runs are either "Training Runs" or "Testing Runs". The Testing Runs are either the Mile or 2 Mile Run. These runs have a specific rubric and are weighted more than the Training Runs. Training Runs can be a variety of runs that focus either on interval (speed) training or longer endurance training. They are intended to add variety into the class and better prepare students for their testing runs. All missed runs need to be made up for credit. The Mile and 2 Mile runs have a specific rubric:

Fitness activities can range from individual challenges to partner and team challenges. We use AMRAP, Tabata and circuit format workouts all the time. We also try and use various equipment like Kettlebells, Battle Ropes, TRX suspension trainers, med balls, jump ropes, BOSU trainers and much, much more. 8th graders have full use of our modern weight room as well.
