2019 TRACK & FIELD SEASON INFORMATION

Track and Field Events

We are excited for our 14th year as a coach for the dominant and successful Cupertino Middle School Track & Field Team. This year Ms. Lehman and Mr. Sickler will be the co-head coaches for the 2019 season.  We are expecting a huge team this year like we have every year.  This a NO CUT sport meaning that you will not be cut from the team.  The only events that you have to try out for is the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay races.  Below are the coaches for the various events:

  • Co-Head Coach/Long Jump- Coach Lehman
  • Relays Coach- Mr. Harting
  • High Jump Coach- Mr. Jarvis
  • Shot Put/Discus - Coach Martino

How To Register

All the information you will need in order to register for Cross Country is found on this Valley Athletic League link.  Scroll to the bottom where it says "Please click the enroll button to sign your child up for the Cross Country team."  Please make any type of donation you can to the program because it helps to fund it moving forward and it is a really integral part of the After School Sports Program. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.  

Parent Form

Since the team is typically so large, the most effective way to communicate with the team is via a group email.  It is mandatory for parents/guardians to fill out this FORM for their athlete(s).  Please take a couple minutes to do so.

Team Shirts

Team shirts have been ordered.  They will be $10.00.  We will accept check written out to "Cupertino Middle School" or cash.  Please have students come in at brunch to Ms. Lehman or Mr. Sickler.  Shirts will be sold on first come, first served basis.  Click HERE to check out the design.

Practice and Meet Schedule

Click HERE to download a calendar version of the entire season schedule, including practices and meets.  The season starts on Monday, April 8th and runs through the week of 5/13 which is  League Finals week. We have 4 League Meets, 2 are away and 2 are home.  It is each athlete's responsibility to get a carpool to the away meets.
  • Season runs from Monday, 4/8 - Week of 5/20
  • Meet 1- Tuesday, 4/30 @ Lawson Middle School
  • Meet 2- Thursday, 5/2 @ Crittenden Middle School
  • Meet 3- Tuesday, 5/7 @ Cupertino Middle School
  • Meet 4- Thursday, 5/9 @ Cupertino Middle School
  • League Finals- Tuesday/Wednesday 5/14 and 5/15 @ Crittenden Middle School
  • County Finals- Week of 5/20 (To Be Determined)
