2023 TRACK & FIELD SEASON INFORMATION
I am excited for our 16th year as a coach for the dominant and successful Cupertino Middle School Track & Field Team. This year's season runs from 4/10 to 5/18. Mr. Harting and Mr. Sickler will be co-head coaching the Track and Field Team. We are expecting a huge team this year like we have every year. This a NO CUT sport meaning that you will not be cut from the team. The only events that you have to try out for is the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relay races.

How To Register
All the information you will need in order to register for Cross Country is found on this Valley Athletic League link. Scroll to the bottom where it says "Please click the enroll button to sign your child up for the Cross Country team." Please make any type of donation you can to the program because it helps to fund it moving forward and it is a really integral part of the After School Sports Program. Any donation will be greatly appreciated.
Since the team is typically so large, the most effective way to communicate with the team is via a group email. It is mandatory for parents/guardians to fill out this FORM for their athlete(s). Please take a couple minutes to do so.
Volunteering at Home Meets
We can always use parent help at the home meets to help time and measure the various events. The parent volunteers really help us run a smooth and quick meet. If you are interested in volunteering at the two home meets on 5/9 and 5/11, please make sure that you go through the volunteer process first by clicking this link. Click this LINK to go directly to the form for Cupertino Middle School.

Practice and Meet Schedule
Click HERE to download a calendar version of the entire season schedule, including practices and meets. The season starts on Monday, April 11th and ends on Wednesday, 5/18. We have 4 League Meets- 2 are away and 2 are home. We then have 2 days of League Finals to finish the season. It is each athlete's responsibility to get a carpool to the away meets.
Meet Program Order of Events
To run the meets efficiently and as quickly as possible, there is a specific order of both the Running and Field Events. Click HERE to see the order of the events for each Track Meet. The running events schedule is the same across meets, but the field event schedule may vary depending on who is hosted the meet.
My primary source of communication with the Athletes is going to be through Google Classroom. I will be giving the athletes the code the first week of practice, but, just in case, here is the code they use to get in: 3sh2cew
Meet results will be posted in Google Classroom as well as sent to all parent emails.
