One of the goals of the Physical Education department here at Cupertino Middle School is to provide consistent and creative opportunities for students to improve their overall cardiovascular fitness. Our runs fit into two categories- Testing Runs and Training Runs. The
Testing Runs are worth 10 points and assessed based of a specific rubric. The Training Runs have different point values, distances and goals- all with the intention to help train students for their assessed Testing Runs.

Mile/2 Mile and Bear Fit Challenge Dates
This year, we are going to have Grade Level Mile, 2 Mile and Bear Fit Days that have been scheduled for the entire school year. They will also be on your grade level calendars. Click HERE to see the schedule for the year.
Mile and 2 Mile Process
To receive full credit for the Mile and 2 Mile Runs, you will to follow this process:
- Complete this Goal Setting Sheet before the run (this will be posted on Google Classroom)-
- Run the Mile or 2 Mile - somewhere between
- As soon as you cross the finish line, report your time to your teacher
- Complete this Personal Best Template
- Complete this Reflection Assignment
Reflect on your Mile and 2 Mile Runs
After each mile and 2 mile run, you will be responsible for a quick refection on this Google Form. Click HERE to access it. You have 24 hours after your run to complete this. Needs to be fresh in your mind!!!
